Biden’s Approval Rating Rises After He Dropped Out of 2024 Race

President Joe Biden’s approval rating has gone up since he stepped down as the Democratic presidential nominee on July 21.

Biden saw some of the lowest presidential approval ratings in history in the past year, a trend that was broken in one of the first approval ratings polls taken since he dropped out. In an NPR-PBS News-Marist National Poll released on Tuesday, Biden’s approval rating reached 46%, his highest in more than a year.

His approval rating in the last Marist poll taken while he was still running was 43%, with other polls having him much lower.
